On the morning of July 14th, Anhui Zehong New Materials Technology Co., Ltd. held a groundbreaking ceremony for its "Bamboo Replacing Plastic" integrated industrial project, producing 12,000 tons of bamboo bio-based degradable materials annually. Yang Jie, Deputy Secretary of the County Party Committee; Wang Zhiping, Member of the County Party Committee and Secretary of the Party Working Committee of the Economic Development Zone; Fang Genying, Deputy Director of the County People's Congress Standing Committee; and Zhang Zecheng, General Manager of Anhui Zehong New Materials Technology Co., Ltd., attended the groundbreaking ceremony. They jointly launched a putter reel and laid the foundation for the project.

Anhui Zehong New Materials Technology Co., Ltd. is a high-tech, environmentally friendly enterprise integrating production, R&D, technology, marketing, and after-sales service. In recent years, through collaboration with multiple universities, the company has successfully developed bio-based degradable materials and fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) products using bamboo fiber powder, PBAT, and PLA as primary ingredients, ultimately achieving the energy-saving and carbon-reduction goals of "replacing plastic with bamboo" and the company's sustainable development goals. The newly launched "Bamboo Replacing Plastic" integrated industrial project, with an annual production capacity of 12,000 tons of biodegradable bamboo materials, has a total investment of 503 million yuan. It utilizes internationally leading bamboo fiber modification technology and, upon completion, will become East China's largest biodegradable material production base. 

At the ceremony, relevant leaders noted that Zehong Plastics, as a representative of "Taihu Business Returnees," has consistently made positive contributions to the economic and social development of Taihu Lake. The commencement of this new project is a vivid example of the company's commitment to technological innovation and green development. Leveraging Taihu Lake's abundant bamboo resources, the company has successfully developed key technologies for the industrialization of bio-based degradable polymer materials made from bamboo fiber powder, overcoming technical difficulties and achieving internationally leading standards. The 12,000-ton industrial production project, which commenced construction today, is a key step in the company's green transformation towards "replacing plastic with bamboo."
